David R. Edwards was the Department Chair of Fine Arts and Humanities Department at Pueblo Community College, until he recently retired. During his tenure, the Department cultivated interdisciplinary Arts advocacy within the various communities in the College’s service areas, developed long term partnerships with the Colorado State Fair Fine Art Exhibit and the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center which provided students as interns with our partners. Additionally, the Department developed after school art enrichment opportunities for the local school districts, judging student art shows, as well as conducting summer workshops for at risk youths sponsored under a federal program.
Mr. Edwards is involved with the Pueblo Arts Alliance because he strongly believes that the Arts are essential to the economic and cultural vitality of a community.
He is a practicing artist who is proficient in jewelry, sculpture, photography, and painting. He has won numerous awards for his work and is represented in corporate and private collections across the country.
