Dr. Danilo León has earned a B.A. in Education, a Masters in Language Teaching, and a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature and Culture. He also holds a Certificate in Leadership from the Latino Leadership Institute at the University of Denver. At the moment he’s completing a certification in Translation Studies with the University of Toronto. He is a published scholar and passionate educator with more than 15 years of successful Spanish literature, language and culture teaching experience.
He believes strongly in the value of education in the arts and humanities and this is why he became a board member of the Pueblo Arts Alliance in 2017. He is currently an assistant professor at Colorado State University-Pueblo, a Hispanic serving institution where he not only teaches, but also mentors other first-generation college students like himself.
