With a background in Architectural Design, John Wilbar has been a self-employed artist, designer and sculptor for over 30 years. His sculptural designs reflect his background in art and architecture and are a balance between graceful lines and structural form. What is unique to Wilbar”s designs are that each piece is one continuous sculptural body and has a complete change of form as one moves around it. In addition to his sculptural design Wilbar is co-founder of JohnDeaux art gallery on Union Avenue, has provided designs for exhibition furniture at the Bessemer Historical Museum and Southeastern Colorado Heritage Museum, painted the murals and designed the exhibition furniture for the Buell Children’s Museum and has designed and built stage sets for many summer musical productions at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo Colorado. The furniture and small sculpture of John Wilbar is exhibited at JohnDeax art gallery. Large out-door sculpture is exhibited at his studio and sculpture yard at 222 West Abriendo Avenue in Pueblo , a short drive from I-25 at exit 97B. Visitors are welcome.
