PUEBLO, Colo. — Second Saturday Open Studios at Arts Alliance Studios (107 S. Grand Avenue) will host a mixer and open house from 2:00- 5:00 p.m. on October 14. There will be a silent Art Auction from 2:00pm-4:30pm with proceeds to benefit Daniel and Cori Levinson for the hospitalization of their newborn son Ricki. The Studios’ main entrance is in the back of the building and parking is available in the lot off of Grand Avenue and City Center Drive.
The new Grand Staircase Gallery, a cooperative art exhibition space leading up to the second floor of the building will be unveiled. This month’s event introduces new building artists in Studio B, Marty Flint, leather; Studio D, Bradley Chandler, leather; Studio I, Beck Edwards, digital art and Dave Edwards, painting, photography, and jewelry making. Other participating studios will offer tours, interactive activities and art for sale during Second Saturday.
A raku firing sponsored by All Clay a.k.a. Cristine Boyd will take place beginning at 3 p.m. in the courtyard. Buy, glaze, and fire a pre-made piece for $18. You may also bring in your own bisqued piece and fire it—prices vary. For more information, contact boyd@allclay.com, (719) 320-2407.
